You read “Jack Henry” and then say to yourself; now that is an interesting
name as such I wonder how it came too be.
Well this gal comes to us as a stunning example of one of the few
new Heritage model Ford GT's still waiting to be exercised and in this
case the comment exercised could not be more appropriate.
This gal was found and then quickly purchased and then even before
she was shipped to us she was already massaged as a component of that
which is about to unfold. Her wheels were powder coated orange, her
calipers were painted light blue to match her body, and her roundels
were purposely left blank as this gal is about to step back in time.
In 1969 a Heritage Ford GT40 won Lemans with a fellows by the names
of Jackie and Jacky spending time behind her wheel; not only is this
a memorable racing moment in time but even more so a moment in time
that this gal's owner never expects to forget as such the first part
of her name became “Jack”. Now understanding as this gal's owner does
that even though Jackie and Jacky drove her past the checked flag they
could not have done so if it were not for the team that supported them
which was spearheaded by Henry aka Henry Ford hence the second part
of her name being “Henry”. Now if these alone were not a grand enough
reasons to refer to her as such this gal's owner first born son was
also named Jack so it is blatantly obvious that her name is a true
reflection of many wonderful moments in time.
During her stay with us several items are under consideration however
there are two items that have been fully defined; she will have her
cockpit area massaged so as to insure that her new owner can
comfortably spend time within her; this is imperative as he is of stature
similar to another well known Ford GT driver; Dan Gurney. Then add
to this she will receive the full complement of decals as they were
on the winning gal in 1969 and then last but not least her roundel
will become occupied with the memorable number “6”.
