Most folks have heard of the process known as “Clear Bra” for vehicles however
very few have been given the opportunity to see the difference between “Clear
Bra” and what I would refer to as a “Invisible Paint Protect Process”; including
myself until now.

We have a new black 05' Lamborghini Gallardo that had the process referred
to as “Clear Bra” installed before we took delivery of the car. We have used
this process before and been very happy with it in fact based on installations
done in the past this was an extremely good installation however it had the
typical character traits of the process visible throughout. Seams, exaggerated “Orange
Peel” texture, and some minor surface scratches. We have been warned that
the finish can become scratched rather easy because the product has a clear
coat finish applied to the film by 3M. Still having shared this we were very
pleased that the car was protected from the extreme elements of the road.
Now I should share that the product used during this process is the highest
quality 3M film presently on market. I should also share that we had the
complete nose of the car protected, the entire hood/bonnet, approximately ½ of
the front fenders, the mirrors, strips installed behind all 4 wheels, the
rocker panels, and the leading edges of the side radiator openings.
Within days after having the car delivered we had the opportunity to chat
with folks that have developed an extreme installation process that “DOES
NOT” use pre cut pieces or result in “ANY SEAMS”…….. A completely custom
installation and because we are always looking for ways to present an even
higher quality service this intrigued us. It was as the result of this conversation
that we all agreed to meet on Sunday and have this magic performed in the
Lamborghini Gallardo.
Before attempting to describe some of what we saw during the two man team
(Sam and Wilson) “ARMS CONSTANTLY MOVING” 11 hour process let me share that
the results are nothing short of “PHENOMINAL”. There are only two seams;
and these are at the leading edge of the mirrors and you would be hard pressed
to find them. The process when completed resulted in a single piece of material
that completely wrapped the front bumper group, another single piece that
completely wraps the hood/bonnet, one piece per front fender that completely
wraps each fender. All of the edges are rolled over so from any distance
there is no way that the film can be seen; even up close and personal. Not
only are there no seams, but the finish is flat, so much so that the material
used over the headlights can not be detected …… darn near optically clear.
So having shared this hopefully the following pictures will depict some
of what took place during this wonderful and truly educating process.
The process began by removing all of the film originally installed on the
car. Once removed the surfaces were cleaned of any residual glues, etc. Then
all of the surfaces were clay bared and methodically washed as preparation
for the installation process. I should share that at this point we still
had “NO” idea of the scope and magnitude of the process that was about to
unfold.

The film installation process began with the hood/bonnet. As you can see
a single piece of material was used during this process and then as one of
the final steps the edges were trimmed and then slowly and patiently rolled
and secured

The next step was the front bumper group. It was during this process that
we were completely amazed. Both guys worked diligently for several hours
taking what began as a rather simple flat piece of film and created a multi-angled
piece with “NO” exposed cuts or seams that enveloped the nose in such a
way that once completed you would never know that it is there. Items such
as the front grills were removed so as to insure a full wrap of the film
and so that once completed there would be no seams or edges. As with the
hood/bonnet one of the last detail items done in this area was the wrapping
of the film around all the edges so again the results are no material edges.

The next step was wrapping the mirrors. You can place your nose against
them and never tell that there is film.

The next areas wrapped were the fenders. Again we watched in awe as they
took a single piece of flat and film and created a complete single piece
wrap of the entire fender. At no point did the concern for time spent ever
get expressed the only obvious concern was for the finished product and
in this case the goal was to create a completed process that looked as
if nothing had been done.

The last areas to receive the film were the headlights and the headlight
washer doors. Now until this point we enjoyed everything that we saw
however when they laid the product on the headlights and it remained
virtually invisible we became even more impressed.

After all of the film had been installed what we assumed was the final
phase of the process began… Now some 10 hours into the process the
two them after sharing very few words began going over everything,
not once but several times… first checking the areas that they individually
had completed and then the areas of the other until mutually they agreed
that it was completed. Then out came the wax……… and again like an orchestrated
tag team they touched every area of the process for one last time…… or
so we thought………. However there was in fact one more touchy feely process
that they performed before just to make certain everything was right…….
Then……As with the “CAT IN HAT” ……….. when he loaded “THING 1. THING
2, and THING 3” …they continued the final detail of the process by
loading everything in their vehicle, cleaning up the work area before
tipping their hats to us and saying “Thank YOU”…… it has truly been
our pleasure.
To share that we were impressed would be an understatement and would
not do the process justice. Sam and Wilson are true professionals and
have not only taken the process of film style paint protection to an
extreme level but they obviously enjoyed what they do and are prepared
to push the proverbial envelope even further with each project that
they take on.

We were so impressed that we agreed to and are now offering their services
through our facility. In addition to the process depicted in these photos
we can also offer a complete body wrap. This process includes the doors,
rear quarter panels, rear bumper and even the roof if so desired.
