Here she is at the shop getting her clear bra wrap |

Here the gal's tail end
is being removed in preparation for a freer flowing and throatier
exhaust. The original plan was to install one of our favorite systems “The Kreis-sieg
F1 Valvetronic System” however numerous discussions about it we decided
that in this case even though we wanted something a bit throatier
we also want her to appear OEM.

|
| |
Here is the OEM exhaust system as removed including the primary heat
shield that will be reinstalled with the new exhaust
|
| |
|
| |
The final decision was to install a EuroPipe Stage
2 on this gal. |
| |
|
| |
|
| |
|
|
Here the turbo heat shields have been modified by
slightly converting the outer mounting hole to a slot to facilitate the
thicker (.060) flange on the EuroPipe exhaust
|
| |
|
| |
|
| |
Here is a modified 13mm wrench as furnished by EuroPipe to ease the
installation process
|
| |
|
| |
Here the EuroPipe is completely installed and the O2 sensors have been
routed and returned to their OEM holders. The system has been fully warmed
up and now once completely cooled everything will be checked; wiring, hardware
torque, etc.

The final step is to reinstall the primary OEM rear heat shield, the
tips, the bumper, and the tail lights and then exercise her..
|
| |
Here the primary OEM heat shield has been reinstalled without modification
|
| |
|
| |
|
| |
Here the OEM tips that were modified to fit on the larger 70MM tubing
have been put installed. The final adjustment will be made once the rear
bumper cover has been installed. Unlike the OEM tips that only offer limited
adjustment these were designed by EuroPipe with a ball socket mounting
system that affords multi axis adjustment; a very well designed system
|
| |
|
| |
|
| |
Here is the finally phase as it unfolded. The installation of the rear
bumper, the installing of the tail lights assemblies, and the adjusting
of the exhaust tips. Everything fit PERFECTLY and now in place appears
as OEM which is exactly what our goal was. However upon bringing her to
life she immediately lets it be known that she is ready to go play.

The next step will be to exercise her (weather permitting) because
as most know these gals are a bit tail happy even under the best of circumstances.
