I am almost speechless. After THE BEST customer service I have ever recieved, I have finally gotten the car to run properly (lose connection on the installers part). The car is near scary fast. In first gear from a standstill with SMG, you can light the tires up without going full throttle. After you reach 4K rpm, you can really feel the power. First and second gear vanish in what seem like instants. I haven't even taken it up to red-line for my neck and tires sake. With 4.10's I can't imagine what it would feel like. If you can't afford a supercharger just yet, I recommend calling Sean at D/A for an upgrade you will never regret or wonder "why did I buy this?"

if your looking for software upgrade i would say go with D/A software.. i just got mine and it was Grrrrreat... i had the K&N 63 and D/ A street software.. the car seem alot faster than before.. it sound amazing too...the throttle is alot smoother... dont take my word for it search the forum..i was a little skeptical at first about software..i alway though how is a dme flash going make the car run better but now i believe it...talk to Sean at D/A if you have any question...great customer service too.

After I installed my CSL header last week (for those who didn't read the org. post -part1-, the link is below), I felt the car was pulling a tad stronger and the sound was amazing, today, I got my ECU back from D/A (sent it overnight 1 day ago). I got the RACE software from D/A and let me tell you it is crazy, the throttle feels soo much better and the power is very smooth throughout the powerband. I want to thank everybody for telling me to get the software from D/A .

The customer service from SEAN is also very good - I still like the software better but still the attention was amazing! he kept me updated throughout the receiving and programming and shipping of the ECU, even now, when i just got back from a ride.

He's not like car sales man type who would push you to buy everything so don't get afraid. Nicely done! drivebility is just as good if not better than stock.around town driving is smooth and responsive. car definitely feels faster and transmission of power is smooth throughout all rpm ranges. 1st and 2nd gear shifts are less jerky, shifts points are smoother (no more need for CDV delete ) , and the car really wakes up @ around 4K to redline..In addition, DA customer support was excellent. Still waiting for the 60-70 mile adaptation so the car should drive even better. Nice

I just wanted to start a thread and show off my next mod for my M. I also wanted to reiterate the plain and simple fact (all of us on this forum already know) that Sean @ D/A is a great guy, and a freaking awesome guy to do business with. D/A is without a doubt extremely fortunate to have him representing them. As busy as he continuously is, he always makes sure to keep constant communication with the customer. I like how whenever we talk car parts it always leads into shooting off about random other stuff for a while there after. I don't see Sean as just another vendor, but more like a friend that hooks me up with goodies for my M. Awesome to do business with you Sean! I'm sure you already know that you'll be shipping out more stuff my way sooner rather than later. Ha!

Performance wise i don't know which is better. I have the D/A software and i have been so happy with it. At first i was running 93 octane and it was acting horrible, I called them up to return it, and they truely cared about my problem and worked with me to fix the problem. It turns out my gas place was cheatin me and not truely giving 93 octane. Went to another station, and its running like a champ. Haha put in some 100 octane and it was almost a different car. Excellent service. I run a 13.5 on the 1/4 mile.

After getting my car back from lucent, the only word I could use to describe my car is INSANE! The power is felt as soon as you step on the gas. I could literally see the rpm shot up so fast all the way to 8200 , it's unbelievable. And the car sounds like a race car. It's so loud but not annoying at all. Nice sound in mid to high rpm. I get heads turning when I drive down the street. I love it. I just need to watch out for the damn cops now.

I'm in love with this set-up. I also switched my exhaust from eisenamnn race to SS race to complete the SS theme. BIG difference. SS gave the car a louder, deeper, race car sound to it. (Eisenmann currently up for sale)

I want to give a BIG thanks to Simon & Tom @ Lucent Motors for the great install. Of course they do professional work and take good care of their costumer.

If anyone is thinking about an exhaust set-up go with this. SS v2 headers, SS mid-pipes (no cats, no res.) SS race exhaust. You will fall in love with it. Just give Sean @ D/A a call and he will take good care of you. And if your in the LA area stop by at lucent for installion, you won't be disappointed.

OMG D/A Street Software Rocks!

Perf. Mods: K&N CAI 63 w/ Streamline Cone Filter. (NO MAF SCREEN) and AA Muffler

I just added the D/A (discovery-automotive.com) street software and I must say it does rock. \m/

Definately can feel a difference on my butt dyno. At first I only had the K&N cone filter in there but once I dropped in the Streamline cone filter the difference was even greater.

Sean is pleasant to work with and has excellent turn around time.

For those of you looking for software/chip upgrade, get this!

New Install: Kreis Sieg Exhaust + more!

So I took the plunge and put some upgrades on my M3. Just got my car back from Lucent Motor after installation of these parts:

14" Yellow Brembo Front Calipers (Lucent)
AFE Mag Cold Air Intake (Bimmer Performance Store)
Ground Control Coilovers and CamberPlates (Discovery Automotive)
CSL Headers (Discovery Automotive)
SS Race Cats (Discovery Automotive)
Kreis Sieg F1 Valvetronic Exhuast (Discovery Automotive)
D/A E46 Race Software (Discovery Automotive)

I have to say that I am extremely pleased with the results of these mods. Granted I have only driven the car for a couple hours after the install but so far my grin is from ear to ear.

The exhaust is unbelievable. The CSL headers and SS race cats really make this exhaust shine. In closed mode I would say it is quieter then a SS Race exhuast, but deeper. It is enough to know something outrageous is working. When you put it in open mode, watch out!! The thing is truely amazing, the flood gates open and all hell breaks lose.

Sean from Discovery Automotive hooked me up with the majority of the parts and the great Software. I am so far extremely impressed with the results on the car. He really took the time to see this project through. I would highly reccommend going to Sean at Discovery Automotive for your parts and software needs
